Maximus Beato
building full-stack platforms, ai tooling, and the infra to run them
about
purdue student · rock climber · powerlifter
cs senior at purdue, wrapping up may 2026. i focus on software engineering and machine intelligence, but i have the most fun building full-stack apps that solve real problems.
i'm cto at vertikalx right now where i basically built the whole stack from scratch. nestjs backend with graphql, kubernetes handling orchestration, react native on mobile. went from nothing to production infrastructure in just a few months which was pretty cool to figure out.
side projects are where i get more experimental. tonos is a personal voice ai platform i built because i wanted to be able to automate outreach without sounding robotic. apimesh is an attempt at filling a potential gap in new tech that seems like its changing every day. both are in the projects section if you want to dig into the technical stuff.
outside of work and school i climb and powerlift basically every day when i'm not hanging out with my two lovely cats.

may 2025 – present
intern → senior swe → cto
joined as cto and inherited the existing infrastructure, then majorly refactored the entire stack. nestjs + graphql backend on kubernetes (kops on ec2), react native mobile app with expo, serving 60+ athletes. led 3 engineers, rebuilt ci/cd from manual deploys to a 5-stage gitlab pipeline cutting deploy time from 3hrs to 15min, and reduced aws costs by 45%.
founding engineer · docreserve
jan 2024 – oct 2024
first engineer at an early-stage healthcare reservation startup, built everything end to end before it shut down. react/typescript/mui frontend, prisma data models, docker environments, and the full deployment pipeline. focused mainly on calendar-based reservation ux.

work
tonos
a voice profile api that learns how you write and generates messages that actually sound like you
vtx athlete
built a composite scoring engine that pulls training data, social metrics, and competition results into a single 0-1000 score so sponsors can actually find athletes worth working with
apimesh
23+ pay-per-call web analysis apis with crypto micropayments, stripe mpp, and an autonomous build loop that generates new apis without any human involvement
awesome-mpp
a curated registry of 100+ machine payments protocol projects, sdks, and services, maintained autonomously by apimesh's brain loop
